TALK allows you to create and maintain your own blogs, as well as read and comment upon the blogs of other projects or TALK members.
There are two types of blog available; individual blogs for individual users and group blogs that all members of a project or community of interest can maintain. Unsurprisingly, individual blogs are contained with personal spaces and project blogs are held within TALK spaces!
Your Personal Blog
When you register as a TALK member you have the capability to set up an individual blog. This is maintained in your personal space, which by default only you have the access rights to generate content in. Other TALK members will be able to read and comment on your personal content, but they will not be able to amend it.
Here are some important notes about your individual blog;
- You are the only author of your individual blog
- Other TALK members will be able to add comments about your posts, but they cannot change their content
- Blog posts can contain various types of content. You can stick to plain text, but you can also add photographs, audio and video clips if you wish.
N.B. Before you can start a personal blog, you must setup your personal space first.
To access your personal blog click on the My TALK menu, followed by My TALK Blog.
Project Blogs
By default, when a space is created the capability to build a blog is already available. To access it click on the Space Operations menu link and follow this by clicking on the Space Blog option.
The project blog will then be opened up to you.
When you view a project or space blog, it will look something like this. Click on the title of each post to go to that individual post. From there you will have the option to add a comment. This is what my blog page looks like.
